Gone to my rest in the 15th Judicial District meeting
Whew!
I got off from Denver right on time and arrived in Colorado Springs about 1. My first hint the afternoon might be a little rocky here in the heart of the Rockies was that there wasn’t a parking spot to be found here at the Doubletree/World Center. I finally parked about 2 blocks away in what I HOPE is overflow parking….
Early registration was scheduled to start at 1. I’d had the clever idea of getting there right at the start, so check-in would go fast. Unfortunately, several thousand other Dems had the same idea.
I ran into some of our delegation and we stepped out of line to go take care of getting checked into our rooms. Tactical error. We came back down and got into the registration line WAY WAY WAY back from where we’d been originally.
We got out a mere three hours later. At one point four of us left Randa (County Chair) holding our place while we scurried off to fill a quorum for HD 64. Big news there, Wes McKinley is running again.
So now here we are in the Cherry Creek Room, waiting for the JD 15 meeting to start…oh, here we go!
